| short legs, and a long, pointed beak. Squaking penguins are social | |||||
| animals that live together in large colonies. They huddle together for | |||||
| warmth during the long, dark winter. Living so closely together for | |||||
| such long periods of time makes the critter very cranky and protective | |||||
| of its territory. When it is upset it squaks loudly. That is how it got | |||||
| its name. So whatever you do don't poke it in the chest or it will squak! | |||||
