The
squaking penguin (squakus aukus) is a flightless aquatic bird that |
| inhabits the southern hemisphere of Polygia. It has
flipper like wings, |
| short legs, and a long, pointed beak. Squaking
penguins are social |
| animals that live together in large colonies. They
huddle together for |
| warmth during the long, dark winter. Living so closely
together for |
| such long periods of time makes the critter very cranky and
protective |
| of its territory. When it is upset it squaks loudly.
That is how it got |
| its name. So whatever you do don't poke it in the chest or
it will squak! |
